Kidney Stones

Kidney stones are mineral and acid salt deposits in your kidneys. These small, hard stone-like formations can move to your bladder and be quite painful when trying to pass. Kidney stones can form when concentrated urine becomes crystallized and begins to stick together. Though painful, kidney stones don’t generally cause permanent damage. Usually medication and drinking lots of water can serve as a treatment for kidney stones. If you experience pain that is accompanied by fever and chills, blood in your urine or if you have difficulty urinating, call us to make an appointment.
